This cafe was **conceptualised** in 1942. It has a unique design that looks royal and ancient. We have been to this cafe a ton of times. It gives an old rustic feeling,** yet **appealing. The setup makes you feel lost in the British times, but you will enjoy the food for all tastes. The tables, chairs, round tables and sofas all look aesthetic. It was opened to bring the diverse characteristics of Delhi under one roof and offered an open environment where the discerning clients could sit, relax, interact and have a rendezvous and hold intellectual discussions. Throughout its long history, the tables of UCH have been crowded with writers, artists, lawyers, journalists, actors, affluent businessmen, Philanthropists, travellers, Politicians, and Bureaucrats. UCH has also appeared in clippings in newspapers and won many accolades from prestigious organisations, nationally and internationally. ## How to reach there ## The food review It has the famous Samosa that is as big as a quarter plate. The potato and peas filling will leave your taste buds remembering it for a long time. It serves a good quantity of food. We have ordered almost everything from their snack menu. Our favourite till date remains Club Sandwiches, French Fries, Spring rolls and cold coffees. ## The price you pay The price is good for the delicious food and it should not make a hole in your pocket. It usually comes out to approximately Rs 2000 for two persons. You have a wide variety of cuisines to order from. You should visit this cafe at least once when you are in or around Delhi Connaught Place is charming. It has an old touch and has maintained its authenticity to date. We often browse shops here from time to time when we love to spend some quality time together.
