United Coffee House – CP

Hello friends, today we arrive at United Coffee House in Connaught Place (CP). This cafe was conceptualized in 1942. It is uniquely designed in an ancient way and looks royal. We have been to this cafe a ton of times. It gives an old rustic feeling yet very appealing. The setup makes you feel lost in the British times but you will enjoy the food of all tastes. The tables, chairs, round tables and sofas are all aesthetically arranged. You will find the whole ambience is dignified. Every time we visit this cafe, we get positive vibes that compel us to revisit.

The story in their own words

United Coffee House, a legendary café-restaurant and bar, is one of the most celebrated in the world. It was opened with an aim to bring the diverse characteristics of Delhi under one roof and offered an open environment where the discerning clients could sit, relax, interact and have a rendezvous and hold intellectual discussions. Throughout its long history, the tables of UCH have been crowded with writers, artists, lawyers, journalists, actor, affluent businessmen, Philanthropists Travelers, Politicians, and Bureaucrats. UCH has also been appeared in clippings in newspapers and won many accolades by prestigious organizations, nationally and internationally.

How to reach there

The food review

It has the famous Samosa that is as big as a quarter plate. It has the usual potato and peas filling but your taste buds will remember it for long. It serves a good quantity of food. We have ordered almost everything from their snacks menu. Our favourite till date remains Club Sandwiches, French Fries, Spring rolls and cold coffees.

The price you pay

The price is good for the delicious food and it should not make a hole in your pocket. It usually comes out to approximately Rs 2000 for two persons. You have a wide variety of cuisines to order from. You should visit this cafe at least once when you are in or around Delhi

Connaught Place is charming. It has an old touch and has maintained its authenticity to date. We often browse shops here from time to time when we love to spend some quality time together.
