The Potbelly Rooftop Cafe – Shahpur Jat
Potbelly Rooftop Cafe in Shahpur Jat is yet another sweet discovery from my husband’s side. It was way back in 2012 when I was expecting my son and was 6 months pregnant. He searched on Google map and it looked great in pictures. We drove to Shahpur Jat but the lanes were too narrow and we couldn’t find the correct route even with the help of GPS. Then we tried the old funda of asking people around and finally reached the destination. The cafe is in the residential area and when we looked up, we saw the decorated rooftop cafe that said Potbelly cafe. It was, I guess, on the second floor without lift with those steep staircase. I asked him did he really want to go up? We looked at each other confused and thought when we have come this far then we should at least try it once.

The journey didn’t end here. I climbed up all the stairs, gasped for my breath and sat down on the chair. I didn’t check the menu but ordered chilled lemonade. It was on my table within seconds and I felt a lot better after having that refreshing drink.
Innovative interiors
The interiors are nicely done that gives a calm and quiet effect on the guests. You can enjoy your company at the rooftop with few people to disturb. There are some tables inside also with a beautiful view from the window. We also chose to sit inside and browsed the menu.
How to reach there
The food review
It has a wide variety of food from almost all the cuisines. We ordered sandwiches, french fries, cold coffee and lemonade. The quality of the food and presentation was great. I liked the food that gradually lightened my mood and brought a smile to my face. We had young couples around enjoying food and gossiping. You may bring your kids along.
The price you pay
We paid approximately Rs 1000 – Rs 1200 for the food we ordered. You may try different combinations to try more food within this bill.
Do try out this rooftop cafe if you visit Shahpur Jat for the amazing food it serves.
