Cafe Qahwa – SDA
How about having live entertainment while you sip some coffee? Cafe Qahwa in SDA market serves you all day breakfast and meals for energetic and a fitter you. They host live open mic events every week to keep you glued; search them here #UnspokenVoice. Writers and voracious readers have a home here. Recently the cafe heard loud versions of poetry and storytelling. A show is incomplete without food; at least for me. And you will enjoy a wide variety of teas and coffees with delicious in house prepared food here. There are high-speed WiFi and sockets for charging your gadgets. What bliss! Do you need anything more? I will tell them to adopt me or keep me at their service!
This concept takes me back in 2005 when I was pursuing DNIIT from South Ex. We had to prepare a presentation in pairs and I along with my friend Bhavna sat in a cafe and made notes. At that time, we didn’t have android phones I guess and no laptops to carry for work. I remember we brought print-outs and took out relevant information from those. That day made me feel like a busy working woman. And today I am one! Every phase of life has its own charm whether with current facilities or not.
The story in their own words
At Qahwa, they believe in the use of freshly prepared, tasty food with fresh ingredients, fresh spices, fresh herbs and a lot of care. They make it so fresh as most of the doughs are prepared in-house like their hand made pizzas & garlic bread! They serve an all-day breakfast, scrumptious lunch & dinner meals and tons of coffee, tea & other beverage options. Qahwa’s aim is also to serve and promote quality coffee, selectively sourced from south India. The word ‘Qahwa’ is the original name of coffee in Arabic, although they also serve a Qahwa-style Kashmiri Kawa.
How to reach there
The food review
The pizzas and pasta are fresh and appetizing. You will love the beverages and you have one for every mood. Since they serve mouth smacking breakfasts, lunch and dinner, they have good nutritional and healthy foods to choose from.
The price you pay
The average bill comes to somewhere between Rs 800 – Rs 1000. This is just perfect for a loving day to spend with live events and in simple yet engaging ambience. As I always say that when you enjoy the company you automatically like the taste of food.

Thanks Vidhya
It was the name of the cafe that got me to click on the linky link. The place looks equally interesting.
I know. Like we pick a book by its name. Cafes are equally innovative these days. Thanks Anupriya.
