Celebrities who follow sustainability in awesome ways
I have grown up listening to recycling stories and how the environment has been depleting every day by our behaviour. Gradually I started inclining towards making conscious efforts to save resources around me. Leftover pages in school copies and plain backside of printed sheets started bothering me and I used to cut them into small sheets for making grocery lists in the kitchen. In short, I became observant of what I use and how I dispose off the waste. Someone’s waste may be another person’s treasure. I follow sustainability through my daily activities.
Rescript – Follow sustainability in awesome ways
A few years back, while browsing Instagram, I came across a sustainable account called Rescript. Their ad showed stationery made from recycled paper which instantly interested me. I browsed their collection and followed them and placed my first order. I was happy to see they have reasonably priced their products. I ordered long registers, copies and pens.
They use recycled paper and are already a little yellow. My children hesitated a little in the beginning. I told them that their new copies also become yellow over time. Why not use Recript and take a step towards saving our environment? Overall, the quality of their products especially paper is good.
Simple habits adding to eco-friendly practices
I feel proud to say that I am doing my bit in practising sustainability. I am happy to see no trees are cut because I want a diary to write my thoughts. Many more sustainable actions help me reach my goal of contributing to eco-friendly activities.
- Replacing writing notes on paper with noting down on mobile or laptop.
- Saving all diaries that are gifted to me. I use only one for a year or so to make my work notes and blog notes. I have divided the first half of the diary for making blogging notes and from the back of the diary I note down meetings of all work calls.
- I follow sustainability in my kitchen too. I consciously make proportionate food so that less quantity is wasted if ever wasted. I am always looking for ways to reuse leftover food the next day spicing it up with delicious ingredients and spices.
- I buy clothes only if my current clothes don’t fit me anymore or are torn. Otherwise, I am happy wearing the same set of 3-4 kurtis alternatively. Ask the A-Team. By now they must be remembering the colours of my clothes via daily calls.

Celebrities are following me now
Slow Fashion is also on the rise, and notable celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan, Richa Chadha, and Janhvi Kapoor are breaking the stereotypes and repeating dresses to award functions, movie premieres, and other functions. Not only this, but they also support Organic Brands and Slow Fashion labels to usher in much-needed change.
Like I told you at the beginning of this post I repeat my clothes every alternate day so these celebrities have also started practising my habit. With regularity in their activities, one day they will reach my status.
Well, leave the celebrities aside. You tell me what are the ways you are contributing to sustainability?
PS: This is not a sponsored post for Rescript but my honest review of the self-made brand. Kudos to the team.
This post is a part of ‘Sense and Sustainability Blog Hop’ hosted by Manali Desai and Sukaina Majeed
Ha ha. You are a super influencer! Some of us have been adopting circular fashion and repeating clothes long before they became fashionable.
That’s true, Ritu. Thanks.
Celebrities are the biggest influencers. If it takes them repeating clothes for people to do that, well and good. I will surely check out Rescript. Thanks for sharing about it.
Thanks, Madhu.
Geethica, it’s fantastic to see how your personal commitment to sustainability translates into your everyday actions and choices. Your practical tips, from reusing paper to managing food waste, are both inspiring and achievable. Highlighting celebrities who contribute to sustainability, like Anushka Sharma and Ajay Devgn, adds a great dimension to your post. It’s a reminder that every small effort counts, and the collective actions of individuals and influencers can drive significant change. Keep up the great work, and thank you for sharing such thoughtful insights! Btw, I don’t like Ajay Devgn appearing in the gutka ads.
I agree about disliking Ajay coming in Gutka ads. Thanks, Jaideep.
It’s nice to know that some celebrities are giving it back in this way although many can do much more as they are the original influencers. Btw, even I don’t mind repeating clothes Geethica and I still have jackets and sweaters that are over 20 years old. After all, it’s the little things we do that make a big difference in the long run.
Me too, Kaveri. Some clothes are good enough to last over decades. Thanks.
Your commitment to sustainability through conscious choices like reusing paper and reducing waste in the kitchen is commendable! It’s inspiring to see how individuals like you are making a real difference. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Kanchan.

Thanks for your warm words, Careena.
of course celebrities follow you, waise bhi originality to kam hi hoti hai unme, in terms of fashion at least. I wasn’t aware that Ajay Devgn is also active in sustainability, had heard of the other names in your list.
I think Ajay is not verbal about his deeds. Thanks, Manali.
What I’m loving about this hop is there is a takeaway from every post, a tip, an idea, and a sustainable product brand to follow. I think this is the way we must help each other to hep the planet at large. Thanks for suggesting Rescript. Will check out their products.
I am glad you are checking Rescript and I am sure you will fall in love with it. Thanks, Janaki.
It is good to know that celebrities are also doing their bit for the environment. And if they are following you, that makes you a super influencer! Kudos! May we all contribute to a more sustainable world!

Hahaha…thanks Neeta.
Oh I didn’t know this. I don’t follow any of the celebrities. But it’s good to know that they are making small changes in their own ways. Very interesting about the male celebrities being instrumental in providing solar power to villages.
Yes, I also found it interesting while researching about them. Thanks, Cindy.
