4 reasons why you should definitely follow my easy sustainable fashion
Even if your wardrobe is stuffed with clothes, don’t you wear only 2-3 sets of clothes again and again? I know you do. In fact, I am happy with 2 sets of clothes only. I have even stopped buying extra clothes and wait for the current ones to disobey me so that I buy new ones. In economics, I learnt that money not spent is money saved and I am applying it today. As my mom always says that no education is ever wasted. So bringing you back to the topic, let me give you definite reasons to follow my easy sustainable fashion.
Today’s trend is easy sustainable fashion
The definition of fashion varies from person to person but one principle remains the same and that is comfort level. Sustainability is the key to a safe world in every little portion you can contribute. My fashion statement is very easy.
- I wear clothes in which I am totally comfortable.
- Wherever possible I choose cotton fabric.
- My clothes are 1 inch loose than my body measurements to allow cross ventilation irrespective of the fact that they are readymade and tailored.
- I am often behind the trend because I believe that nobody creates fashion other than you.
This pandemic has given me a good reason to be in comfortable clothes that are breathable and washable at home. Choose the clothes that look good, serve your purpose but require easy maintenance. If a good set of clothes bleed then it irritates me. You need to wash them separately in the washing machine or by hand. Either way, it’s a task.
I have tried putting new coloured clothes in water and salt mix overnight but that doesn’t help always.
Recycle at the correct time
Though I like my 2 sets of clothes very much, I donate them before their wear and tear. As soon as I sense the cloth may fade in near future or may tear, I keep it aside to donate so that someone else who may not buy can use them.
Next time also, I buy 2 pairs only as I believe in saving by not spending.
Confidence is the new attitude
I can wear a saree in a pub. Yes, you can challenge me anytime. It’s because I love to wear sarees and I carry them confidently. Though I wear them occasionally now as the gatherings have stopped pertaining to the current situation but my love for them has not weakened.
Confidence comes from within. Nobody can force you to wear something that’s not looking good on you. You may wear it under pressure but you will never enjoy it. It’s important to believe in what you are wearing.
Once you carry your confidence, the world follows your style. So just like that, you set a trend!
