Which fond memories of jelly remind you of old stories?
What do you vision first when you hear about jelly? Well, I see colourful jellies in different shapes. Each jelly had a small story weaved around it when I first had it. Do you also love to have jellies? I can have it adorably today also without any guilt just that it sometimes harms the throat which I hate to admit. So which fond memories of jelly remind you of old stories?
Fond memories of jelly start with my grandma
Let’s start old stories with my grandma’s favourite game. On every good habit, she used to buy a pack of colourful jellies and we would play a game. I would close my eyes and guess which colour and shape of jelly, my grandma is holding on to. This would keep us busy for almost the whole day. I have taken from her the habit of appreciating little things in life and rewarding for that good behaviour. It’s not necessary to gift expensive gifts to say that you care. A small packet of jelly would bring a big smile to my face.
Another small lesson was to not empty each packet the moment you open it. Like this, I started saving the packet I opened and enjoyed eating it at many occassions. As a habit, I was mad over green colour jelly and would pop in all green ones first. During the guess game also, my usual answers were green only.
Once my grandma secretly brought a jelly packet that had all green jellies only and that was the moment! There are so many fond memories with her as far as I remember. At that time, I never thought of what do I do, I am getting bored as I hear my children saying most of the time today.
Maybe that’s the charm of each generation. Well, writing to you about jellies has urged me to get one right now. So till the the time, I get back with my pack of green jelly, do share your favourite memory from old times.
