How many health benefits from kiwi did you get today?
My mom introduced Kiwi to me when I was in school. Actually, moms are the ones who are after your life introducing new healthy things to you. Obviously, its green colour tempted me to try it once and yes, I liked the taste. It was a daily fruit on our breakfast table after that. Before, this I had seen Kiwi in gift baskets where it looked like precious fruit among the others. But later, I learnt that there are many health benefits from Kiwi too.
I like slightly tangy taste and it’s soft texture and not to forget that its little black seeds can also be eaten along. Don’t you feel interrupted when you have to take out seeds out of your mouth in between enjoying the flavour of the fruit? I feel so irritated and that’s why I am happy eating Kiwi where its seeds are not an hinderance.
Kiwi has health benefits too
Though, we don’t read much about things we already like but since I was writing about Kiwi, I researched a little bit this time.
- It’s rich in Antioxidants: This property of Kiwi helps in building immunity within your body that in turn fights diseases. It also helps in reducing oxidative stress.
- Loads of Vitamin C: Aren’t we hearing about immunity everywhere? Kiwi is the best source of Vitamin C that stimulates the immune response in our bodies.
- Helps in digestion: Kiwi is a good source of soluble dietary fibre too that helps our body in digesting food and keeping us healthy.
Different ways to consume Kiwi
- You can eat Kiwi raw that is most preferable with or without black salt.
- It may also be added to a combination of smoothies as per individual’s taste.
- You can add to fruit salad also enhancing the taste and healthy benefits.
- Try to add Kiwi to your dessert making it more fruity and tangy in flavour.
Now that’s your Kiwi loaded with ample goodness of health and taste. So did you add Kiwi to your plate today?

I love the Kiwi fruit. I like the Golden on better than the green. What about you?
Oh wow, I like the green. Thanks, Aesha.
I actually discovered Kiwi’s only in UAE, when the first time I had it was in a salad!! Since then, Kiwi and I have come a long way, even my younger son loves kiwi
Yes, I like it raw. In fact, I like the green colour with black seeds on it. So beautifully created by nature. Thanks, Harshita.
