Quarantine is the best time to be familiar with yourself
It is been long since we are hearing this word ‘quarantine’. It was a new word in my vocabulary and I was excited to check its meaning. Well, not to my surprise, I liked the meaning. I am usually quarantined most of the days in a week. My friends and family know me that way. In fact, if I have to dress up to go out, I am messed up as to what to wear and how to match my look. I am happy to be lazy at home. Jokes apart, I am loving this time and taking benefit of it in the most useful way. Because quarantine is the best time to be familiar with yourself.
When you can’t go out, go in
As perfectly said by someone that when you are not able to go out, use the time and energy to go inside you. It is not that self-help or motivational books are only for trying times. As if you are caught reading them, you are marked as depressed. It is nothing like that. Daily life is also a challenge to pass with peace and happiness which we often ignore. You need the motivation to see the good in everything and everyone around you.
Your behaviour marks your character
A new day brings a new mood. That’s why we say today was a good day or it was a bad day for me. Every person knows the reason behind their happiness and sorrow. You can’t write your destiny but you can definitely make your every day good. Access your mood and know what makes you happy as soon as you get up. Like I know waking up early before others get up in my house makes me happy and I do try it every day. You get so much more time when you get up early. But that’s just one thing to make your day beautiful.
Other habits in you throughout the day mark your character. Are you able to control your anger under impossible situations. Even if you realise in between that you are shouting, do you stop and calm down? Are you tagged as the one who’s always angry or cleanliness maniac shouting from one corner to another on everybody?

Meet the new you
Some habits come through genes while others you develop due to people around. Many times circumstances shape your character. But in the end, it is you who is suffering and need to rework on yourself.
Start with making a list of all the things you like about yourself. I am sure there are plenty of good qualities in you. Now check the habits you want to change. Make two columns of each and match the following in a way that which bad habit can be changed with a good one. Easy?
When you are determined to improve yourself for good then all the cosmic powers favour you and the one opposite you also fades away.
