I am the soul inside Geethica | An excerpt from her life
I am the soul inside Geethica sitting alone on a bench at the railway station. The sky is clear, and the sun is shining bright but the cool breeze keeps her moist. There is nobody at the station. Now, Geethica doesn’t fear loneliness, instead enjoys her time doing nothing. She’s hopeful that the train will come and take her away from the present.
She smells the freedom in the air, which would not weigh heavy on her skin once she reaches her destination. She is not nervous; her body has no sweat but her mouth feels dry. Is she thirsty? She swallows her saliva and it’s salty.
A sudden siren from the right startles her. She sits upright. I don’t see her excited or running towards the train. Rather, she is sceptical about whether boarding the train is the right path. Will she be able to break free of all the societal ties and detach for good?
I know her destiny but it’s time she starts walking on her wisdom path. I am free, now it’s her time to be the same.
Creative Writing Course by Suchita at Blogchatter
Last week, I attended a Creative Writing Workshop where Suchita made us close our eyes and narrate a scene. We were to use our 5 senses and describe the story. After a long, I wrote something like this and I was happy I did. The above piece of writing ‘The Soul Inside Geethica’ was the result of this workshop. I was a bit nervous about attending it at first as I was also a participant. But I am grateful that I wrote something I liked reading and that’s why I shared it with you all too.

It also gave me a chance to write on paper which is one of my creative goals this year.
Why ‘I am the Soul Inside Geethica’
As a writer, your thoughts are always influenced by your current state of mind. No matter how much you try to be a fiction writer, your incidents will shade your real personality. It’s the way writers think and it is nothing wrong in my sense.
Here also, when I closed my eyes and listened to the prompt, my instant experience was that I was teleported to that scene and as many times I closed my eyes in between noting down my insights, I found myself on the same bench at the railway station.
I am on the path of detachment via training my subconscious mind and my piece of writing reflects the exact feelings.

This is so so beautiful .. It just resonated ….its the occasional internal turnmoil which most of us experience at some stage or the other …. a deep introspection shows the indecision within … thanks for this post .
