One remarkable memory I want to relive
Memories keep me alive or maybe I love reliving my memories whenever possible. Today is one such day when I think of a remarkable memory I would never want to outgrow. The loveliest of memories lie in the years when you are taken care of by your parents. There’s no responsibility for the world around you.
So, I talked about my first friend Kanika and how I wish I hadn’t changed schools because of the change of residences.
Remarkable memory
What do you expect from a 4-year-old child whose life was going well? Life seemed to be pretty easy and I was good at studies. I remember my mark sheet from 3rd class when my proud mom showed it to our neighbours and that aunty told her son, “Dekha, yeh hote hai marks”
Today, as a mom, I understand how it may have impacted that child.
So, the smooth journey ended here. We shifted home and found another branch of my school so we got admission there. It was hard to adjust to the new environment. An introvert never finds it easy to make new friends. It was middle of the session and the terminal exams were about to start. I scored badly. It took time to accept this sudden academic downfall.
I would live in that moment forever
Later, we found a bus going to my old school and it pinched me so much. I don’t blame my parents because today living in their shoes, I can say parents do the best for their kids. It’s destiny and purely destiny that despite all the knowledge we gather, those important details were meant to be hidden.
I hated this school to the core and never made good friends. When you are small your acceptance power is also weak. All my childhood, I envisioned what if life would give me a chance to relive one remarkable memory, how quickly would I go back to 3rd grade and tell my parents not to change school?
I would happily relive all those years without worrying about going forward.
Do you have a loving memory you would want to pause the time at?
