Show your child the reality with DREAM11 – Fantasy League
Boys love to play sports and my son is no different. He is in the school cricket team. After school, he watches a cricket match on TV. I was surprised to see his interest in Kabbadi too. I guess boys are glued to any sport. And there are mobile games that take up his time. I know that in this era, you can’t ban gadgets completely because we are also engrossed in them for the maximum hours of the day. More than learning, children watch us.
DREAM11 – Fantasy League
My son knows the whole game, be it IPL or Pro Kabbadi League. Kids know all the rules because they watch every game so closely and interestingly. Once checking my mail, I saw a game’s advertisement on my sidebar for Fantasy League on the Dream11 app. I clicked on it to know more.
It is a mobile application available on App Store or Play Store where you can play Fantasy League for various sports like cricket, football and kabaddi. It is the official gaming partner of ICC with 7 Crore+ users. India’s biggest sports game has a combination of different games like Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Kabaddi and Cricket. The rules are just the same as the real IPL.
Available on PlayStore and AppStore
More than my child I was keen to know how the game starts and what are the exact rules? I knew once my son will get a hold of this game, he will not let me play this. So as I clicked on the website, all was self-explanatory on the first screen itself. We have to choose one of the matches from the list. The screen showed all the current matches that are happening in reality. I felt like I was really buying the team. Yes, you heard it right. So after I selected the match, I went to the next step of creating the team. It had all the names of the players who are currently available for auction.
Instead of money, there is a credit system for buying. It felt royal, almost like thinking that you are buying the whole team of 11 players. And then is the last stage that says contests and then let the game begin.
A family that plays together
I didn’t realise that I played for so many hours before my son caught me playing. That was a fun moment for both of us. We laughed so hard together. Now, it was my turn to tell him everything about the game. But as I started, he knew almost everything. He had played with his friend on his mobile. I asked him why didn’t he tell me before and to which he said that I deny him playing on mobile. I guess children have excuses for all our arguments and they become a pro at them. Yes, I prefer him to play on mobile for a limited time and that is not bad from a parent’s view.
Well, jokes apart, we both really like playing Fantasy League on mobile and not surprisingly my husband has become an addict to it. Dream11 is actually a family game that is more interesting to play than watching the match, at least for me!
I am not much of a gamer, but this sounds fun!
Actually, I am also not a game fan but this app is addiction! Thanks Damyanti.
