Experience ZEE5’s Rangbaaz now in your language
On 22nd Dec 2018, Rangbaaz released on ZEE5 and has been making waves ever since. While crime drama is a genre that many have delved into, few have the binge-worthy appeal that Rangbaaz had. After its roaring success, ZEE5 takes the Rangbaaz experience to the regional languages with a multi-lingual release. But those unfamiliar with the web series would, why watch Rangbaaz over other series? That’s exactly what this article attempts to decode in brief to clear all your doubts.
Things that would make Rangbaaz work in every language
Characterization
The series faithfully introduces various shades of a gangster’s personality and life throughout its narrative. From a college-going boy ends up being a renowned gangster Shiv Prakash Shukla, the series gives its protagonist quite a graph in terms of story. The same can be said about all the major supporting character such as Ram Shankar Tiwari, Sidharth Pandey and Babita Sharma. People across languages love and remember well-written characters and this series has many of those.
Performances
A character is only complete when someone plays it well on screen and Rangbaaz has some incredible actors who were able to pull that off. Actors like Tigmanshu Dhulia, Ranvir Shorey and Aahana Kumra do justice to their strong roles. But the central attraction of the show is the fantastic performance by Saqib Saleem as Shiv Prakash Shukla. It really looked like he got into the skin of the character on screen.
While shooting for the series, the actor said “I am eagerly waiting for people’s reaction on the show. I really put a lot of hard work on this because after a long time I got a chance to go deeper to a meaty character like Shiv Prakash Shukla.”
The Setting
90s Gorakhpur as a whole, come across as the perfect setting for the genre. The period quality makes for some smart real-life inspired scenes and character arcs. Also, setting the series in interior India makes for some frank depictions of politics, power and the violence that ensues.
Cinematic Style
The series has the look and feel of a big budget Bollywood movie. Many a time, people think web series are always low-budget and lack the sophistication of a film. However, Rangbaaz proves all the critics of web series wrong with its rich cinematography and filmmaking style.
The Genre
The crime drama is a genre that has been explored in almost every film industry. But with Rangbaaz, we get to see the true potential of the genre in long-running durations. Gripping from start to end, people from across India are sure to be connected with a rich storyline of crime and power told in Rangbaaz.
So, after winning over the audience and many awards, Rangbaaz is now streaming in languages like Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Go watch Rangbaaz in your language and see how well the series adapts to the sound of your language.
