What I gained by taking part in Super Blogger Challenge2018
Super Blogger Challenge 2018 is a super active Challenge. It is coming to its end and I am already missing it. But I am sure the team will come up something more for us. There are many new things that I have learnt during the challenge and am still learning. I try to acknowledge the real skills behind every new step they add so that I can apply it to my own blog.
My learnings are my gains from this challenge
Now I try to make my content SEO optimised. I write on the trending topics and search for top SEO keywords that I can include in my blog and blog title. Yoast is a great tool in this case.
Good traffic is what we all want for our blogs. But I am learning the ways to drive traffic from interlinking my own blogs. Another great way is to put a voting system on your blog. A newsletter is another great way to way to get hits on your blog as a reader always look forward to what’s in the latest newsletter?
I gain so much knowledge from reading other contestant’s blogs. It is a treat to see how people have a different approach to the same topic.
I came out of my comfort zone and researched on many new topics. Some which are not related to my niche but I try to involve them in my content as they are trending topics and will give more hits on my blog. When your brain thinks harder to get a particular thing done after so many failures, you feel lighter on its achievement.
The readers want to know your future plans
I am learning many technical ways of making a newsletter at MailChimp and how to indulge my readers and what can I give them latest every week? Though I am still to master it.
The contests are always exciting. There is a different level of thrill when you are in a contest; forget about the age. We all are kids at heart and competitive. We still have the urge to learn and move forward. When you are appreciated for small initiatives, you feel on top of the world.
I was not aware of the importance of Twitter Chats and Hangout sessions can be so helpful before I joined this Challenge. They grow your audience and your readers watch you talking about the topics you write. You don’t seem to be a dummy behind your blog. Everyone wants to follow active people. You learn so much when you interact with different people and gain knowledge.
There is still some time to finish this challenge and I am looking forward to seeing what all surprises it is going to unfold.
