How Does Belief Control Your Subconscious Mind?
Belief is something you can’t inject into somebody from outside. It has to grow from within. The deeper your belief, the higher your chances of winning your subconscious mind. In my earlier post, I discussed ways to become friendly with your subconscious mind because together, you can achieve your goals faster.
Sometimes, something happens and instantly a thought crosses your mind that it was exactly the same as you imagined. This is a strong subconscious mind that stores your thoughts and makes them happen on time. Knowingly or unknowingly, your belief becomes strong and you see it happen.
It’s important to acknowledge this power within you and practice it the right way to produce positive results.
What is the role of belief in subconscious programming?
Belief is the emotional trigger that activates the subconscious mind. While conscious thoughts pass quickly, a deeply held internal belief serves as a permanent command script. The subconscious mind does not differentiate between reality and imagination; it simply materialises the patterns, habits, and outcomes that align perfectly with your core beliefs.
Real-life instances that show the magic of belief
Unknowingly, my daughter is using her subconscious mind to the best of her abilities. I confronted her so that she could observe and start winning her subconscious mind even more strategically. Let me share a few instances from her life that prove her control over her subconscious mind.
She hated her school and wanted to skip her farewell. Daily, she would tell me, “I don’t want to attend this farewell; it should be cancelled.” For a month or even more, I would hear her repeating the same lines. I would try to convince her to just go and enjoy herself, but she was adamant that it should be cancelled.
And…a week before it actually got cancelled!

The school had its reasons and it happened at a later date after many petitions signed by the students but what I brought in front of my daughter was her strong belief and repetition of just one thing that her farewell should be cancelled.
Another day, a bunch of 10 people had to visit a place and we had to book a cab. Again, she was very adamant about not coming with us. She had a thousand things to do at home when we were not around and she kept telling me that she didn’t want to come with us.
At the last moment, the cab got costlier and costlier due to high demand, as these cab services usually do, and we thought of cancelling it. Only 5 people could come in our car and my daughter got a chance to stay at home!
I told her how strongly she believes in her thoughts and how this power should be put in the right direction. She kept repeating her thoughts and her mind kept listening to all her commands bringing in the universe to make it happen in some or the other way.
Conscious Intent vs. Subconscious Belief
To help you recognise where your thoughts are coming from, look at how the two parts of your mind handle daily programming:
| Mind Function | Conscious Intent | Subconscious Belief |
| Processing Style | Logical, analytical, and temporary | Automatic, emotional, and permanent |
| Core Source | Daily goals, willpower, and logical choices | Deeply rooted habits, self-image, and life patterns |
| How it Views Change | Wants quick fixes and surface-level results | Requires deep alignment and emotional conviction |
Winning your subconscious mind is achievable
Belief is the secret to making things happen. This belief comes when you stop questioning and work together with your subconscious as a friend for good results.
Think of your subconscious mind as a friend in the following ways:
- Think of all the good things you did for your friend before becoming friends with it
- Not hiding anything and daring to share the scariest of your dreams with it.
- Giving credit for good work
- Sharing success
- Asking for help when in doubt

Once you accept your subconscious mind as your friend and as the power within you, it will also reflect the same emotions. I am practising this art daily and am achieving many good results. It is time you should also start believing in the power of your subconscious mind.
Have you thought of something and the next moment it happened? Now you know the science behind it so do share your first-hand experience with me.
Belief acts as the primary emotional trigger and command script for the subconscious mind. Because the subconscious mind does not differentiate between real events and imagination, it automatically materialises the exact habits, patterns, and outcomes that align with your deepest internal convictions
Willpower fails because it operates purely in the conscious mind, which is analytical and temporary. If your superficial conscious desires conflict with your deeply rooted subconscious self-image, your mind will always default to your underlying, permanent emotional belief.
No, belief cannot be injected or forced into your mind from the outside. True subconscious alignment must grow naturally from within by practising intentional focus, repeating constructive thoughts, and training your mind to work as a supportive friend.
You can build a friendly relationship with your subconscious mind by acknowledging its power, celebrating your wins, and sharing your scariest dreams without hiding anything. Treat it with trust by giving it credit for good work and asking it for guidance whenever you face doubt.
Yes, the subconscious mind listens to all consistent commands, whether they are positive or negative. If you repeatedly focus on and believe in a negative outcome, your mind accepts that script and brings together external circumstances to make it happen

Beautiful post!I am a firm believer in the power of the subconscious mind. I have felt things manifesting into reality that I believed in my bones. I am excited and looking forward to this wonderful series.
That’s so cool, Pinki. Do share something about your experiences. It would be a treat to listen to you
Thanks
