# Daughters are the best gift on Mother’s Day

My daughter is my real darling. She is the apple of my eyes. I feel the pride to see a young Geethica in her but **highly well managed and organised for her age**. Helpfulness is best tested when I am not around or not well. And she replicates me in an exact way. She is just 10 years old but my [mirror reflection.](https://thoughtsbygeethica.com/2017/05/my-carbon-copy/) There may be little disagreements over some issues but she becomes disciplined again in some time. And that's a big relief. Watching her grow up so fast, I believe that **daughters are the best gift to every mother**. This Mother's Day lets celebrate the girl child.

### She is my sweetest darling

Help is around when you live in a family. But when that help comes exactly the same way as you want then she is the one to be credited. In some years only **she has [studied my ways](https://thoughtsbygeethica.com/2017/11/daughter-mirror-reflection/) so closely that nobody can differentiate who's done the work.** And that is the proudest moment for me. I always reward her with small things whenever she does something commendable. It is my way of appreciating her. But now the market has nothing new to offer me for the next time I have to reward her!

With her birth, I have also matured so much. Now we both have become friends. There is always a transparency level between us that brings us closer.

### Daughters are true reflections of your character

After becoming a mother only I realised the **love of [my mom](https://thoughtsbygeethica.com/2017/04/m-mother/) for me and the importance of her sacrifices.** Today, when I watch the good and bad qualities of my daughter, I realise my own habits during my growing years. With time, daughters become one of their moms only because they always admire us. Everybody is proud of their positive habits but when I see my bad temper coming out of my daughter also, then it is the time for the checklist. That's when I realise how do I sound when I behave in the same manner. And I make efforts to improve.

I truly thank God to bless me with a daughter. And also thank my daughter to give me company when I actually need it.
