# Like breathing is to the living

This poem is my first official creation that was published in Woman's Era and gave direction to my passion. Like breathing is to the living, this phase of my life is to me. It will always remain special to me no matter how amateur it may look like years later.

***Like breathing is to the living ***
***like the sun is to the sky***
***this place is to me.***
***Every morning, sitting for hours***
***delaying the daily schedule,***
***Admiring the greenery***
***listening to the birds***
***losing to the purity of nature***
***this place is to me.***
***Filtering the rays of sun***
***like filtering the good out of bad.***
***So much light of hope***
***to reach the goals.***
***The goals clearly visible***
***but not approachable. ***
***Like baby is to the mother***
***like life is to the soul***
***this place is to me!***

The thought of writing this poem came to me instantly. Looking out of the window while I sip my tea or have my breakfast is the best time I enjoy daily. Earlier I used to wait for someone to accompany me while I eat but not anymore. Once words became my friends, I seldom want anyone else to be around me.
