How do you rate the Jasmine Villa Series by Andaleeb Wajid?
It’s been a while since I have read something romantic. Does that mean love is missing in my life? Well, human relations are complex and love is the main ingredient for survival. That’s exactly what’s discussed in the first book One Way to Love. This is the first book in the Jasmine Villa Series by Andaleeb Wajid and it is a Bollywood-style simple love story that’s refreshing for the soul adding a spark to your otherwise mundane life.
There are 3 daughters in the story and each has a book dedicated to herself. This is the story of the eldest daughter Tehzeeb.
Tehzeeb the protagonist of the Jasmine Villa Series
Tehzeeb is an intelligent girl with beauty. She knows when and how to tackle life situations. The author describes her beauty with daring personality traits in situations like when she is ready to call off her marriage without a second thought. Or when she is clear enough to earn money by putting her own talent to work.
The love story of Tehzeeb and Ayub seems to be predictable yet you want to read it more as you would like to watch the next episode of your favourite web series. It gives you those synergies after a hectic schedule and relaxes your senses with lovely chit-chat between the sisters. Their love for the Jasmine fragrance denotes their mothers’ presence in their lives and that’s how the series is named appropriately.
The story takes a slow turn
However, the reader is expecting some twists and tension in the story that comes a little late. As it takes its curve, the interest goes up again and you secretly pray for everything good in the life of the protagonist. The author has also portrayed her strong respectful girl to which she abides and solves the quest at the right time.
The narration involves the intimate relationship of husband and wife which can be understood if talked less also. It was more like a family drama on television than reading a novel. But it’s a quick read and you can finish it in one go. However, I enjoyed its short chapters one at a time every day at bedtime.
Lovely things before you sleep keep your mind calm and you sleep tight. Also what you read affects your brain in some way. So a romantic read keeps you sparkling and you fall in love with your partner once again. The good things are highlighted in front of you and you forgive the bad habits of your partner.

Loving You Twice by Andaleeb Wajid
The second book in the Jasmine Villa Series is Loving You Twice. Here, the middle sister Ana falls in love with Ayub’s best friend Luqman. The stories are well connected with each other as the love is prospering among different people of the two families mentioned in the series. Basically, the love affair coming up in the next series is introduced in the previous one so you get a hint of it and expect new surprises.
The circumstances are not repetitive but another set of troubles shows up in Ana’s and Luqman’s love story. If you are a Bollywood fan then you are going to simply love the twists and turns of the series. If you expect happy love stories then this one also solves for good with little scars in everyone’s life.
Andaleeb has sketched the characters of the sisters carefully with minute detailing that brings them together as strong independent women from the middle class but also makes them differ in their own way. Ana may not be as beautiful as her elder sister Tehzeeb but her intelligence and the urge to give in personal interests for the betterment of her family takes her to the next level.
