How is Podcasting, wellness and monetising for writers in India by Dr Amrita Basu benefitting?
Dr Amrita Basu or Amrita as I fondly call her is a friend from 2016. The year I stepped online to explore blogging. I found her instantly on the most beloved blogging community Blogchatter and then on Twitter and everywhere. I haven’t met her in person but it doesn’t seem to make a difference now. The internet and our effort to stay connected feed our friendship and keeps it alive. That’s one of the reasons I can’t ignore her latest ebook Podcasting, wellness and monetising for writers in India.
Amrita has never failed to be an inspiration for me. Every now and then, she comes up with something new, creative and helpful. She told me once that she never likes to get bored and keeps on experimenting with new concepts. Thereafter, she is equally eager to share her discoveries with everyone.
Podcasting, wellness and monetising for writers in India
As the ebook cover aptly says it is a quick guide to podcasting, wellness and monetising tips. But if you have read a few works from Amrita then you will agree that she is capable of teaching more in less! So reminding myself that this blog post is more about her ebook and not Amrita herself, I come back to the highlights of the content.
Explore Dr Amrita Basu as a Podcaster
Either you are a starter or a regular podcaster, the tips shared in the ebook are functional and useful for you. If you are serious about earning through your voice then go ahead and follow her tips religiously. Her personal experiences add credibility to her content. However, she has explained in the ebook that the most important part is to start. Get your intentions clear, know the reason behind your actions and start one step at a time. See the result and plan forward. As correctly said in her own words:
Trying to do too much while starting kills productivity. So start, learn, apply, grow.
Wellness is a term less understood
Wellness is different for different people. Some lead a luxurious life with little mental peace while others are less privileged but happy with friends and family. Physical health goes hand in hand with overall wellness. As Amrita says in the ebook
In real life too when you are healthy and life is good, you concentrate on growing your bank balance.
When you are busy earning money, you often ignore your health. But when your body needs attention it has its own ways to give red alerts. At that point in time, you realize that you can enjoy money only if you are sound and healthy. An unhealthy body with diseases only brings tension to your life.
In the ebook, Amrita connects with art and growing a kitchen garden as a source of wellness. She loves to paint which makes her life colourful. Kitchen gardening is something that brings her much closer to nature.

Monetising your creativity
Amrita has always been a promoter of monetising through creativity. She has done it and wants her audience to try it as well. She has shared resources that helped her until now and give you instances that you too can do it. Just believe in yourself and start the work.
Dr Amrita Basu believes that there’s no shortcut to success. If you want it then you have to earn it!
All in all, this ebook is a short read but full of useful resources. You can also listen to her audiobook from the link shared inside the ebook. Reaching the end of the ebook, I could make out that she has written it in a hurry but that doesn’t take it away from a runaway read. Bet me if you can apply all the resources shared by her.
