Do you know that dreams are the gateway to your subconscious mind?
Dreams are the mystery of your mind. You dream without preparing for it and it vanishes as soon as you open your eyes. They often surprise me because sometimes, I open my eyes in the middle of the night realising that I was dreaming. The other times, I panic but instantly feel better thinking that it was just a dream. Have you ever wondered what are dreams and how they connect you with your subconscious mind?
Dreams are the reconciliation of a day’s events
Dreams are a state of mind when your brain slowly travels from conscious to the subconscious and finally to an unconscious state. It’s usually the subconscious state of mind where you dream of all things that happened during the day. All different parts make a new story of their own and you glance at them with fresh eyes.
Whatever you see, hear and feel during the day, they get registered in your subconscious mind knowingly or unknowingly. You sleep but your subconscious mind is always at work. That’s how our digestive system, breathing and all other body functions keep performing while we close our eyes for a while.
Something bothering you for a long time
Many times, your mind is overactive and there are disturbing issues moving all around your brain. You want to sleep and distract yourself from the problems but since they stay in your subconscious mind, you tend to see them again in the form of dreams.
You miss your loved ones
I have an interesting incident to share with you here. Your loved ones always stay in your heart and they conquer your subconscious mind when you sleep. You are so attached to them that you are sometimes confused did you see them in reality?
One such incident happened to me. I have talked about Pinky mama who was my favourite uncle during my growing years. One fine day, I saw him standing in front of the door of my current home but unable to come in. There was a strange line of people moving between him and the door that stopped him from ringing the doorbell. I wanted to bring him inside but I couldn’t.
Strangely, in the next phase, I saw him again on the road near my mom’s house. I couldn’t reach him there also and a strange line of people was separating us again. I opened my eyes forcefully and saw it was early morning. I couldn’t sleep after that and cried a lot. I called up my mom to confirm if he was alive?
That dream was so hard to believe and it was difficult to come out of it even hours later. I was so caught up in that dream that I totally forgot I lost him years back. I don’t know its significance but the dream is still so fresh in my mind even today.
Connecting the dots
You never know why things happen a certain way but they do happen. You want to control your life but it takes its own toll. But one thing is for sure your subconscious mind rules your body and the weakest point is that it listens to your conscious mind. The things you think are directly taken as a command by your subconscious mind and the action starts.
So it’s important to think good and do good so that you dream about all good things.

This was so fascinating Geethica. I do get dreams about my grandparents (whom I lost years ago), whom I miss a lot
