How to read more and complete your reading goals in time
Reading makes you a better person irrespective of your profession. In fact, your choice of books tells a lot about your personality. People spend their whole life gaining knowledge through different mediums and reading tops the list. Setting up a reading goal eases your life. So how do you ensure that you read more and complete your reading goals in time?
Achieving reading goals in time
Discipline is the backbone to finish tasks and reading is one such habit that demands discipline. It’s important to enjoy your reading and not just run after timelines. A few smart moves can help you in blissful reading. In this post, I have discussed the ways I personally practice.
A few years before, I had almost forgotten to read books. I was busy with life and then writing started again. I totally ignored the fact that reading fuels writing. At last, looking at community reading and sharing so well, I dared to pick a book again. Believe me, it was not at all that difficult.

Set aside a time to read everyday
Now that I have grown up with more responsibilities on my shoulders, I can’t sit, finish a book at one go and get up. So to keep my reading habit alive, I read a few pages before I go to sleep. It may be only one page on some days and not even a page on the other days but I practice to follow this routine.
Choose your book wisely
Reading calms your senses and trains your brain for sound sleep. It’s important to choose the correct genre or theme as it gets added to your subconscious mind before you sleep. It is a proven fact that what you think just before your sleep makes up your thoughts.
As and when you read something, your brain turns that narration into a movie inside you instantly. This stays in your subconscious mind always with or without your permission. This is the reason you are designed as per your choices.
I like reading horror and mysteries but before sleep I read a paragraph or two from mythology and sleep.
Enjoy 2 genres together
You may read 2 or 3 books simultaneosuly. My reading speed has slowed down and there’s another world that keeps me busy. So I choose to read 2 different books together. This gives an interesting twist to my reading.
When we can watch multiple things then why not read more than 1 book at a time? This completes 2 books together and you can pick another bundle of books quickly.
Choose your next book before the current book ends
This keeps you hooked and takes you closer to your reading goals. I generally style my side table with books I want to read next. This way I am eager to tick off my reading list faster.
Be friends with Social media
Talk about your book on social platforms and in book related groups. You will get more insights about the book and reviews on how people are finding that book. As you discuss the book, you learn about different perspectives to the same situation.
Reading is a pleasure and we should always try out new techniques to keep up with trends. These are my personal habits that compliment my reading. How do you manage to complete your reading goals in time?

I follow the same. My reading has increased due to this. I make sure I read at least 20 pages daily.
Yes Aesha and it actually helps. Thanks.
