How daring are you to say Thou shalt experiment?
As content creators, we experiment every day. It is challenging to try new forms of creations and wait for the results. Some suit you and you feel good but it’s hard to accept rejections. But we don’t stop and go ahead with new techniques to share our creativity. It’s fun to check what’s trending and what works for you. So have you been daring to say Thou shalt experiment?
Thou shalt experiment all forms to create content
I can say that I have tried a few social media platforms to promote my blog. Like I tried a content planner for a month on Instagram and followed it till the end. But I didn’t get any positive results so I understood that it is not meant for me. Actually, I create content on different platforms to bring traffic to my blog. My ultimate aim is my blog so maybe I don’t put in much effort to create unique content on individual platforms.
Next, I created my Youtube channel and started posting author interviews I created while I reviewed books. Some of the videos did well while the others failed to attract people. I know you need discipline which I lack. I can’t expect results with 8-9 videos on my channel and then sit and watch. So YouTube also rested aside for me.
Finally, I recorded podcasts. I enjoyed making and listening to it. Though, I didn’t create any interview episodes but only reading my own written blog posts. This did well and I received some amount of appreciation too. But currently, it’s on hiatus.
Only blog soothes my mind and soul
After experimenting with a few forms of content, I realize that I love my blog the most. I want to spend all the time enhancing my blog only. I work on my titles to make them SEO rich and my images to be more relatable. Most importantly, I love to create new emotions on my blog and polish it further to rank organically in search results.
I am lazy promoting my blog and that’s one thing I am constantly working on. The moment I hit the publish button on my blog, I just want to close and start brainstorming ideas for my next post. This needs to be corrected and I am sure I will improve on this too.
This behaviour only prevents me from using social media as much as I should in the right way. Well, you should also dare to experiment with all forms of creating content that’s available to you and share with all of us which one helps you the most?

True….. One should try all mediums before accepting or rejecting them. What i feel is that if we are creating content we should enjoy the creative process. If we are not enjoying it then it would show on the creation. I have also tried making videos but i’ve found that they take up a lot of my time and i genuinely don’t enjoy making them so i stopped making them. If i’ll start enjoying them then i may again start making them. For me that is the number one requirment to use a medium. Great article!!
Thank you, Vikas. Yes, we must enjoy a particular medium to create content.
