My review of the book – I live to love you by Roma Gupta Sinha
Roma is a dear friend since I started blogging. Our same sense of writing connected us so well that we often read each other’s posts without reminders. This time also I couldn’t miss reading her latest ebook – I live to love you. Regular readers of my blog know that I am a die-hard fan of thrillers and this ebook is a mix of romance and thriller. Oh my God, that’s too much to resist and so here is my review of the book for all of you.
I live to love you by Roma Gupta Sinha
The title is apt and the pace of the story is very good. At no point, you feel the story is dragging and you are losing track. The story revolves around Shamit, Aaradhya and Riya. It is set between the 80s-90s and that’s one important reason I related to it so easily. So many friendship games remind you of your own childhood times and special people in your life.
Some of my favourites from the book are:
- Secret codes that I also used to keep with my childhood friend Kanika. We conversed in those abbreviations so that nobody knows what we are talking about.
- Writing letters to my friend even though we lived in the same city was so much fun in those times. Thank God mom kept them safe and now they are with me as my fondest memories. Here in the story also, Riya and Aradhya keep in touch through letters for a long time.
- Aradhya maintains a personal diary and so did I for a short span of my childhood.
Roma always thinks positive
The story weaves so beautifully in every nook and corner of your senses that you start living the words written by the author. I believe that every author’s thinking process reflects in his/her protagonist how may ever they try to create fiction. This is exactly what I found in this story too.
I know Roma personally and I could find the same positive energy in Aradhya as well. No matter whatever the situation was, she firmly believed in her love. Did she succeed or not, I leave it to you to reveal.
Romance is beautifully expressed
Shamit and Aradhya’s love is extremely pure and very decently expressed by the author. You will want to read more about them when you find the chapters have ended. It was pleasant to know Shamit and Aradhya as Sham-Radha as their love names for each other.
Another phrase from the story I resonated with was wheeling on their feet. I use this so much even today if I want to denote somebody as a travel freak.
Well, there is no downside to this beautiful story except that I wanted to see the characters in painting. Shamit is a beautiful artist and the author has given life to his paintings through her warm description. I wish to see those paintings as well.
Maybe they can be added if Roma decides to release its paperback someday. I would be the happiest one.
So, if you also love to read romantic thrillers, download this ebook right away!
