What time will we break free and walk along with the trees again?
The self-isolation period has extended to an unlimited time now. From last year to this year, we are living cautiously but still, we are not free. I always walk alone in the park listening to my podcast but for a few weeks, I am at home listening to the alarming increase in cases all around. I wonder when will we break free and I will walk along with the trees again?
My morning motivation is walking in the park early morning when you can feel the breeze on your skin. But it has been weeks that I have not gone out due to all the scare. I feel like a part of me is missing. This time of the day would help me gain peace and schedule my day ahead. That’s missing now and especially the greens in the park that would soothe my senses and make me smile.

I wonder how nature and human life is interconnected. In my circle, I am only listening to cases of dropping oxygen levels and health deteriorating. Look at our trees. How selflessly they provide oxygen to us but sadly we can’t be freely walking in our nature at this time. It is ironic that being away from nature is good for our health.

Benefits of trees for humans
- I remember learning from my Science textbook about benefits of trees for us. How we should not sleep under a tree at night as it gives out carbon dioxide? Trees inhale carbon dioxide that we give out and exhale oxygen for us.
- Trees also filter the impurities in the air and improve the air quality that we beathe in.
- Trees reduce the amount of sunlight that reaches us, especially in the parking lots and open grounds.
- Patients in the hospital have shown early signs of recovery by daily looking at trees out of their windows.
I really wish we all are able to breathe in the open air and feel the frehness of trees soon. Do you also miss going for morning walks?
