Thank You 2020 – a year that made me even stronger
For some years now, I start my year with word of year and end with gratitude towards the year gone by. After 6 months into the new year, it is interesting to check where I am heading towards? Is it making me stronger or am I shifting away from my focus? This time too, I am saying Thank You 2020 – a year that made me even stronger.
Thank you is a word that brings in warmth and positivity towards anybody anything. This year too I feel gratitude towards many people and things around that made me wise.

Thank You 2020 for a family that eats together and sleeps together
In the initial months, I heard so many people around facing depression because of loneliness and incapability to go out and meet their loved ones. This made me realize that I am thankful to be living with my family. We all live together, eat and sleep together. We even cry together that makes us smile once again. Elders support you and you, in turn, support your children. So on this love chain keeps ongoing.
Work keeps you engaged
I am thankful that all through the year I was busy working and it kept me off the negativity that spreads like fire around. The beauty of work is that at times, it may be tiring but you can finish it mechanically without getting attached to it. During festivals when I was on fast I worked and finished many of the clerical work that needed less of mind work and more of technicality.
Work helps you to destress from all univited argruements around on random topics.
Enjoy the difference between workdays and weekends
Earlier I used to work at any time of the day because I am working from home. But slowly, I realized that I was missing on that fun element and work was becoming a burden. Then I followed Suchita‘s mantra who finishes all work by Friday night and keeps weekends for herself (except the exceptional)
I tried the same pattern and believe me, it’s truly rewarding. Now I watch movies on OTT platforms with my family. We enjoy popcorns with juices in between the self-made intervals and weekends become a fun time to look forward to.
Your peaceful heart has more to say
I am thankful for a peaceful mind for maximum days of my life. I am able to meditate for a few seconds every day, listen to audiobooks while I morning walk and read holistic books before bedtime. Life is good so far and will be more sorted in the coming years.
A peaceful mind is one characteristic that keeps you going even in trying times. I feel much closer to God. I feel the strength to overcome bad times and enjoy happy times wholeheartedly.
Write less but leave an impact
I may not be writing every day but have stopped comparing myself to other people’s profession. Chasing other’s dream in course of finding my own goal will leave you nowhere.
Thank You 2020
Today, I feel satisfied with whatever little I write because that content is authentic and well researched. It contains anecdotes and targets a particular set of audience.
I have found solace in what I am doing currently. Surprises are always welcomed and I am open to new opportunities in 2021. How about you?

The feeling of reading your post gave me was one of contentment. You have shown us how small joys are what bring big happiness. Glad you make 2020 work for you, Geethica.
Thanks, Mayuri.
Don’t I love this post in all senses, life is easy when we mean to make it easy. I always believe in keeping family and profession separate no matter which set-up one works in. Gratitude!
Thank you, dear.
I so relate with you Geethica. I too could catch up on a lot of reading this year. Plus I also finally explored Audiobooks and now I’m always found listening to one.
I also started meditating religiously, something that I wanted to do forever, and it is working wonders
So good to listen to your achievements Nitisha. Best of luck for next year. Thanks
I loved Suchita’s idea too. Thanks for sharing that. Because we work from home all days become the same so sometimes I waste my time during weekdays watching OTT series. Now I think I will try and more structured regarding this. I think it makes work easier if we compartmentalise. writing else but leaving an impact is also such a piece of good advice. I am going to bash myself on writing on my own pace. But whatever I decide, I will stay committed to it and maintain consistency. Your post has been really useful to plan 2021.
I am glad this post makes you more committed to your new year plans. Thanks for commenting.
Loved to reading your post.It gives a positive vibes.

Ha I had no idea I could inspire someone 😂 thank you and I’m so glad it helped. Also my fav point was on write less but leave an impact. I shall remember that the next time I feel I’m not writing enough.
