Learn how to Gear up to do things on time
We all are running in a fast-moving world and time doesn’t stop for anybody. However, in the current scenario, life has temporarily come to standstill for some. But ask me, I don’t feel a minute slow in my life. I have always been like this; working from home and happy to be home. I go out occasionally and dress up very rare. I love to be on tracks and a t-shirt at home. The day quarantine has started and to worsen the situation this lockdown, my each and every minute has become more precious. As in I schedule my time to blog and now with the family home, I am always running out of time. Still, at the end of the day, I finish 99% of my daily targets. So, today I am going to help you learn to gear up to do things on time?
Simple tips to gear up your daily routine
- Organize your day as soon as you get up. Whatever time you get up, start planning things in your mind. This helps you make a checklist and finish accordingly.
- Even better, write a checklist a night before you sleep. This keeps your sub-conscious ready with a plan the next day. It is an interesting task to try. Keep your mind clear of all doubts and just think about your list while you sleep. You will get up sorted the next morning.
- Take breaks but be clear of your deadlines. Prioritize your work according to timelines. It’s important to give time as per their importance and don’t waste energy on unnecessary things.
- Drink a glass of water every hour. It keeps your refreshed and energetic.
- Look out of the day as far as you can and let your mind wander for a few seconds. Now come back and get on your work.
What if you don’t finish your targets
- Just remember one thing that you are a human and not machine. Nobody will kill you if you are unable to finish on time. You didn’t fail, it’s only that the work is delayed and you will finish it the next day.
- When you are stressed, just calm down and convince yourself that you can finish. Take things one at a time and think only about that one thing. It will surely finish.
- Many times, things are out of your control and you are unable to work. Don’t panic but wait for time to resolve things for you. As such also, it’s beyond your control.
- Lastly, just believe in yourself and the power of the mind. Your mind needs training and it will work as you want.
