Make health check your prioirity
As soon as a new year starts, new resolutions come to mind. There was so much to achieve but the previous year ended. So now is the time to again dream high and start working. Everybody has different goals but almost every person is conscious of their health today. Good Health is the ultimate source of energy. You may have millions of strategies to work upon but if you don’t feel good, your body will not accompany. A mild headache also creates havoc. It is important to make a health check your priority.
Why we ignore health check
- Busy work schedule makes us ignore small health problems. It can be as simple as delaying your BP medicines.
- Superwomen who look after both home and office are the most prone to ignore their health.
- Kids of all age seem to miss their daily healthy diet. Some are fussy eaters and the other gets busy with studies and skip meals.
- Some people have odd working hours so they skip in between meals.
Ways to be healthy in a busy schedule
- Take a glass of warm water with honey, lemon and cinnamon. Though I haven’t tried with cinnamon, warm lemon water has given me magical results. It is more than a decade and my body is enjoying the benefits.
- Always keep some almonds(7-8) or any other dry fruit of your choice handy. They curb in between food cravings and make you feel full.
- Go for a morning walk before your breakfast. It burns your pre-stored food in the body that helps in fat loss. Also, early morning sun rays are good for health and add vitamin D to our body.
- Add turmeric to your dishes wherever possible. Scientists have proved enormous health benefits of turmeric to our body.
- Find a motivation to stick to your health rule. Some find a friend as their motivator, some like music as their company.

I’ve been conscious of my health since about 2012 – more so since there is a history of heart disease in my family. I don’t need a new year to tell me to do things about my health – I’ve been exercising regularly, trying to eat well {with moderation!} and I get health check ups done yearly. I think it’s important to be aware and live lives in the healthiest way possible
