The Fortnight Chase – Natural remedies to cure Depression
The world is talking about depression and so are we. But we need to get ahead of this. When there’s so much sadness all around, what do we do next? We take steps to clear away the negative thoughts and let in some hope. And that’s what my blog says. I am here to spread happiness. So let’s see what can be the natural remedies to cure depression.
Natural remedies to cure Depression
The most important thing is not to declare yourself as a victim of depression. Don’t tag yourself as a patient of depression. When we make a list of all the diseases we have in our body we are simply remembering them again and again. The more we take their names the more they make a place in our minds. Just concentrate on ways to cure.
Get in a routine
When we are depressed, we are bored with our daily chores; daily routine. We need to set a different routine that makes us feel better. Start doing things that you had been longing to do. The idea is to keep yourself busy and feel happy.
When you’re depressed, you may feel like you can’t accomplish anything. That makes you feel worse about yourself. To push back, set daily goals for yourself. Start very small. Make your goal something that you can succeed at like eating your meals on time.
I have been benefitted by exercise a million times. This has been a proven fact that just going out into the trees makes you feel lighter and happier. You just need to exercise regularly, be it a slow walk in the morning or evening for 20 minutes to start with.
There is no magic diet that fixes depression. It’s a good idea to watch what you eat, though. If depression tends to make you overeat, getting in control of your eating will help you feel better.
Get enough sleep
Don’t you feel tired and lack of sleep when you don’t feel good? Your brain is not at ease and is constantly thinking about those sad things only. But you need to change your sleeping pattern. Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try not to nap. Take all the distractions out of your bedroom — no computer and no TV. In time, you may find your sleep improves.
Challenge negative thoughts
The next time you’re feeling terrible about yourself, use logic as a natural depression treatment. You might feel like no one likes you, but is there real evidence for that? You might feel like the most worthless person on the planet, but is that really likely? It takes practice, but in time you can beat back those negative thoughts before they get out of control.
