Valentine’s Day will always be close to my heart
Since marriage, Valentine’s Day is very close to my heart. Yes because I could celebrate the day with my man and also because we were married on 15th Feb. So our celebrations start from 13th midnight every year till 15th midnight. We were pretty young when we got married. The reasons behind celebrating these days were special as if the next day our love would dip and we would have to wait next year to revive our love!
We also had our shares of exchanging cute gifts and cards. However, boys are not into it so much and my man insisted that I should also not invest in gifting. Some years ahead, this day was again made special for us. We were blessed with a cute daughter on 14th Feb. Since this day, we have double celebrations to enjoy. As predicted by all, our anniversary took a back seat and everyone including us, always prepared for her birthday every year.
One way out
We decided a plan then. One year we celebrate our daughter’s birthday with her friends at kids play area. The next day we all go out for family dinner. And the next year, we celebrate her birthday with family at home and the next day we go for coffee dates. Meanwhile, she is celebrating her day with friends at school every year.
So coming to a conclusion, either way, there is a celebration on both the days. And there is the showering of gifts from all the sides. And also with plenty of blessings from our loved ones.
Earlier when I used to declare my marriage date to my known, they would always ask- why not 14th? But after my daughter’s birth, we all got an answer. Because we had to save this date for her.
