I was also in the same situation sometime back. When my writings lived in my diary only. And as I started to blog I searched for my readers. Every blogger who is a writer first has a different purpose for starting a blog. It may be for sharing your daily happenings with the world or writing SEO posts that would come up in Google search. In any of the cases, you need traffic to your blog. And much wanted is organic traffic. If your article comes on the first page of Google search, then you are on the right track. But how do you achieve this?

Be selfless

This is one of the most important aspects of your character. Because selfishness will lead you nowhere. Blogging is a mutual effort. You just write your content and the rest depends on your sharing and the traffic. When you help others you feel good and in return you also get help. If you just sit in your den then nobody is bothered to knock at your door and give you work. You need to come out of your comfort zone and read, comment and share other’s blogs too. Then only people will get to know you and they will visit your blog.

Community power

Personally, this is the real reason behind my little success. And my community has only given me the reason to write and write even more. When you grow together you grow faster. Everyone learns from each other and gives many opportunities to all. When you share you get more but when you keep it to yourself you may grow at first but gradually decline.

Be true to yourself

In this virtual world also, you get to know who resembles you and who differs from you. So always be yourself. This transparency will give you space in many hearts. On the contrary, if you write extremely well but are selfish on the personal front then you may be professionally successful but nobody will remember you genuinely. A good person is remembered lifelong by all.

Be true to your profession

If you are serious about blogging then join WhatsApp groups and Facebook Pages or pods. Here all the members read, comment and share everybody’s blogs. And it is a two-way action. Remember if one shares your content, thousands will read you. So if everyone does the same to each other, all will get huge traffic. And soon organic traffic will also reach your blog.

Write, write and write

Nothing can beat you if your content is good. Read good blogs and books to improve your writing. Search for new ways to enhance your writing daily. Because you need some source of inspiration to deliver creativity.
