# How meditating at different times in a day benefit you?

In the [introduction post](https://thoughtsbygeethica.com/2017/12/word-god-introduction/), I had attached a google form wherein I got responses about how you would like to start your day. Every individual has a different approach to life. Some like to have calm and peaceful mornings while others prefer some peaceful time later in the day when their busy morning schedule has settled. We have all the liberty to choose any hour of the day to have a word with God. So how meditating at different times in a day benefit you? The priority is a **peaceful state of mind.**

## Meditating at different times

**Meditation is a practice where the individual trains the mind to engage in peaceful thoughts.** It is often done to clear the mind, reduce stress and promote relaxation. **It may be done while sitting, chanting a mantra or closing the eyes in a quiet environment**. Many times we are burdened with many chores in life; professional or personal. But it is always good to be calm in order to see things clearly and prioritise. **When we sit quietly even for a minute without any particular thought in mind we meditate. This is the way we think of God. We feel the presence of God in our heart.**

## Early morning meditation

As said earlier, meditation can be in any form. **When I sit for 5 mins early in the morning with my eyes closed and thank God, it is meditation.** **After sending my kids to school, when I go out for the morning walk, it is my second stage of meditation**. In this hour, **I get maximum positive energy, I look up at the rising sun and feel the warmth coming inside my body**; giving me immense energy to live the day ahead. I see the greenery around and my mind starts planning the tasks for the day; in which order to finish.

Next, I always take** all the negative thoughts out of my mind and leave it there only. I try not to drag them back home. But yes, many times some portion of negativity is around in the house. That's when I talk to God again and ask for strength; to divert my mind towards other important things in life. When you don't succeed in ignoring the bad, simply finish your daily tasks as a routine. Force your mind not to think about any emotion; neither good nor bad.** Your mind will be clear in sometime itself.

## Meditating later in the day

There are many times in a day when you can be alone with your God, when you actually get answers to your queries and when you feel the presence of God within during thankfulness.

**Another time for meditation to me is when I write. When my soul comes out on paper and I hit publish.** **I am alone with my thoughts and there is no disturbance in my life for some time. It is just me and my writing.** My innermost feelings come out in my post and I share it with the world. I let my readers benefit from what I have been benefitted and want to know their experience with the same. Sharing with others always lead to more knowledge.

Later in the day, when you are settled after completing your daily commitments, you can meditate. **Meditation can be just to sit quietly for some time in your room. Or at a place where you feel good about yourself.** Silent your phone and lock your doors. There are no rules to follow. **Just say thank you for the things that made you happy recently.** Similarly, vent out those thoughts that are troubling you and feel lighter. Ask for solutions from God. **The answers are around you only**. **You just need to be mindful.** See the tiniest of happening in the surroundings. **You get all your answers sooner or later.**

**Meditation simply means having a word with God.** Do share your experience after reading this post and let me know what you achieved.
