How to be thankful for your health?
I am always thankful for my health. When I see somebody physically challenged or under a temporary illness, I feel bad for them and at the same time blessed to have a healthy working body. And I preach this to my kids also; never ignore your health but to be highly obliged of what all you have been blessed with. It is important to be thankful for your health.
Thankful for every breath I take
If you are a regular reader of my blogs, you can count how many times I have been thankful for the breath I take. I am thankful for the slightest of pleasure my healthy body gives to me. Remember when you feel nauseating and within some minutes you get a burp; how do you feel? When your nose feels irritated with some dust particles and you sneeze; do you remember the ease you feel as you sneeze? There are many small pleasures in life that involve healthy working of our body. You just need to be mindful to observe them.
I motivate myself every day. Talking to my subconscious brain daily that I am healthy and growing strong with each passing moment helps me. I have huge responsibilities on my shoulders; the biggest being my kids. I know what’s going on in your mind. Does this really help? Yes, it does. You have to believe in the power of your subconscious. You have to believe in the working of your body and the brain; the coordination between the two.
When I actually fell ill
The rate of being ill has dropped to a mere 10%. The rest of the time I am going strong and I am thankful for this every second. But what happens when I actually fall ill? Yes, I feel the pain. I miss the times I am fit and healthy. How easy my body works then. But this shall also pass. Because God gives you pain only to the extent your body can bear. And I truly believe in this. I foresee the condition when I will be healthy again, every day and night. It’s important that I train my subconscious to throw out the pain from my body. I strongly feel that now its time to get out of this unhealthy position and breathe the fresh air.
PS: This is my personal experience and I practise this brain exercise daily. Miracles do happen but you need to be patient and believe in what you practise. It has been more than 2 years since I am practising.
If I am achieving so shall you.
Such a positive blog…if I may add.i keep telling my kid to always thank God for everything n never ask from Him. Other than that ofcourse keeping a positive attitude is key to happiness .
That’s true, Milan. There is no point in asking for He knows what is best for us.
Very Well written. That’s right, we don’t realise our health is real wealth or a precious possession we own. We should be thankful to Almighty every day.

That was an amazing way to look at life. We always worry about small things and forget about our blessings. Loved your way of thinking, Geethica. More power to you.
Thank you Shraddha. I am happy you enjoyed reading.
the inner strength helps us win every battle. Great Geethica. Thanks for linking up with #ThankfulThursday #ThankYouNote Contest
Welcome Tina😊
Such a wonderful post, Geethica. How strong we become when a tough situation arises, but feel weak during normal days? I guess it’s a gift to consciously train our mind. To me it’s high time I did it.
Yes but regular practice makes us maintain that strong conscious. Thanks Jayanthy
The inner strength works more in tough times. I too follow the same, Geethica.
Thank you Ila.
I will definitely try to talk more positive to myself…I hope I can make it work for me too.
Yes why not. Try it and feel the change within. Thanks dear
This really is new to me and I’m definitely trying this method of being more positive and strong willed.
Sure👍
Inspiring post. I too realised that I had put on weight (almost 10kgs) post quitting gym. The effects were visible and I never felt the same fighting fit ever till now. So starting November 1st I have taken up a weight loss diet to cut down 10kgs by February end. We neglected our body a bit too much. Hope I succeed in this and get back to my weight category. 🙂
A wonderful post which will definitely make the reader think.
Cheers!!
Thank you very much UK.
That’s exactly how I cure myself Geethica…by feeding positive thoughts to self and yes my rate of falling ill has dropped down drastically in last few years as well…Thanks for sharing this lovely post, I totally understand the importance of connecting with one’s mind, body and soul for a healthier tomorrow…
See? When you write your true feelings, you get to know so many people with the same thought. Thanks for commenting.
Such a positive post, Geethica. True, as ling as we are alive and breathing we have to be thankful for the blessing it is.
Thanks a lot Varsh.
Being positive and being grateful is extremely important and a healthy way to overcome negativity.

What a minute observer you are Geethica! There is an immense relief and pleasure after burping and sneezing! Agree you that there is strong connect between the positivity of thought and overall health. A strong willed person definitely recovers faster from illness.
