The day I got the prompts for Write Tribe festival of words, I started drafting my posts. For day 6, they prompted to interview someone or include a guest post. As soon as I read this, Ishieta was the first person on my mind to interview.
Ishieta is a darling friend. I became friends with her during A to Z Challenge this year. I found her writings going in the same direction as mine. From there only, my curiosity increased to know her better. And this was the golden chance to know about her inside out.
She has been transparent in her interview. You would love to read her thoughts. As the conversation starts:
Why do you write? Since how long have you been writing?
I am intrinsically a communicator – I am always talking, sharing, communicating – I always write things down on paper, email, message, twitter tweets!
I feel I have so much to share, discuss, Learn & explore – and this comes out of sitting and talking and sharing views openly – I love to hear both sides of a story, even when I disagree! All this is great fodder for the imagination of a writer.
Probably since before I could walk! Haha, for as long as I can remember, I have always had a notebook and pen, and have written my thoughts down.
Who/ what has been your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration has been my mother – She has taught me the true meaning of joie de vivre
We (can be said for all of us, you, dear reader included) live in interesting times, with lives which could compete with an Ektaa Kapoor serial, and yet, inside all the Drama, I have learnt from her the love of words and books, joy of being in the moment, being with people, being a healer.
What do you do other than writing? How do you manage your time?
I am a practising Numerologist, Tarot Reader and a Reiki Master and Healer.
I find my true calling in helping people be happy, and these are my tools, along with my words, with which I help people redesign their lives and find solutions. This is the seed behind my blog: isheeriashealingcircles.com
My Day Job is also about helping people! I manage the Customer Service for a Real Estate Developer.
I have a secret – An extra hour
I struggle to juggle and multitask like everyone does. I try to prioritise and be in the moment! I rely heavily on my diary with my notes to keep me organised and sorted with all my tasks and deliverables! I also am grateful for technology which has made completing a lot of tasks on the move or remotely much easier than ever before!
PS: I am currently working on a couple of ideas about Time & it’s better management – I will be writing about it on my blog soon which I hope everyone will find helpful – I will keep you posted!
Have you ever thought of monetizing your blog? If yes, please share some tips.
While I have been writing for eons, I have only gone the formal Blog route a few months ago. Currently, I am growing organically, and people and brands which resonate with what we are doing have been approaching us for collaborations. It is a great beginning.
I hope to learn some tips from rocking bloggers like yourself to improve my writing and learn the ropes of monetizing my blog and works.
You have published 3 ebooks. How do you feel as an author? Is it a bonus for a Blogger to be an author?
To be referred to as an Author is a great feeling! It is an identity I am grateful, glad & happy to don.
My 1st book (paperback) just happened! The Publisher was looking for a Numerologist who was a writer – and well, then he found us! The rest, as they say, is Destiny.
The other two came about because I was blogging and participated in the A to Z Challenge with Blogchatter in April 2017.
I feel these are 2 complimentary vocations – and while essentially both revolve around different formats of writing, each enhances the other.
Do you wish to write on other topics as well in future? Or are you happy and content at your own place?
Definitely yes. I am a lifelong student. – I am happy where I am, and with the work I am doing. As I learn & evolve, and explore different topics, I will naturally want to share that with my world 😊
I will always move forward.
There is a story in my head wanting to be told, there are subjects inviting me to learn – As I explore those, I shall write!
This was all about our lovely Ishieta. I know, I know you don’t want to stop here. But worry not, Ishieta is present everywhere.
